There are a surprising number of support services available in Sheffield, and finding out about them can be quite challenging, this page will try and list as many as we know about.SIGN Sheffield Information Link (SIL) offers support for families with disabled children through an extension to its service called Sheffield Information Giving Network (SIGN). SIGN is based at the Ryegate Children's Centre and is a free information service for disabled children and young people and their families, and the professionals who support them. SIGN brings together Health, Social Services and Education, plus voluntary agencies to offer an integrated information service. SNIPS The Special Needs Inclusion Playcare Service (SNIPS) provides opportunities for parent/carers of Children and Young people with special needs and disabilities to take short respite breaks from caring, knowing that their child/children will be in a safe, supportive play environment.
