At SHEDS we understand the need for diversity to be represented equally in fashion, media and the arts - so it's a very exciting time when our very own treasurer, June Smith's grandson is modelling for Boden!
Alex is five-years-old. He enjoys dancing, music and playing with balls. He also has Down's Syndrome. He can be found modelling the Teddy-lined Anorak here -->
Mum Becky (June's daughter) said:
"Alex had a lovely day on the shoot and the coat is very cute. Alex really enjoys modelling and this was a great opportunity with Boden."
Alex is represented by Zebedee Management who specialise in working with models with differences and disabilities. They believe their models, actors & performers can achieve anything they want:
"We have some major brands booking our models repeatedly and are now seen as one if not the leading agency in representing talent with disabilities, differences and additional needs.”
"We hope that the work that Zebedee, its models and the brands we work with, will impact on the wider society in terms of changing attitudes and developing people’s understanding of disability and difference. We are optimistic that this will make for a more caring society, and a nicer place for us all to live."
It's wonderful that Down's Syndrome is getting so much positive representation at the moment. Well done Alex!
